Mind-Body Intersection
I have a strong interest in the mind-body connection and regularly study areas including: neuroscience, stress physiology, nervous system functioning, hormonal health, immunity & inflammation and gut-brain health.
I wrote my Masters (MSc) thesis on the topic of menstrual cycle phases and mood in naturally-cycling women.
*I am not a medical doctor, but I study these areas to better support clients whose mental health is closely linked with physical health experiences.
About Me
I’m a native English-speaking psychologist with a passion for working with individuals from diverse international backgrounds.
Born in Prague and raised primarily in Switzerland, I attended an international school for 15 years before going on to live and study in the UK and Netherlands, where I completed a Master of Arts (Hons) in Psychology & Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Psychology respectively.
My primary clinical training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute (USA). CBT is an evidence-based, structured and goal-oriented approach. CBT works to reduce symptoms of mental health conditions by challenging negative and unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs, while learning more adapted responses and behaviors. I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) work where helpful.
Together, we will set goals and frequently review progress so that you can see and feel positive changes as soon as possible. Between sessions I will provide practical, targeted exercises and reflections designed to consolidate your learning and accelerate progress. Over time you will build a toolkit of skills and resources that you can use independently.
