Therapeutic Approach
I’m a native English-speaking psychologist with a passion for working with individuals from diverse international backgrounds.
Born in Prague, in the Czech Republic, I spent the majority of my childhood and adolescence in Switzerland, while attending an international school for 15 years. I later lived and studied in the UK, where I earned a Master of Arts (Hons) in Psychology, and in the Netherlands where I earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Psychology.
My primary clinical training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute (USA). CBT is an evidence-based, structured and goal-oriented approach. CBT works to reduce symptoms of mental health conditions by challenging negative and unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs, while learning more adapted responses and behaviors.
Together, we will set goals and frequently review progress so that you can see and feel positive changes as soon as possible.
Between sessions I will provide practical, targeted exercises and reflections designed to consolidate your learning and accelerate progress. Over time you will build a toolkit of skills and resources that you can use independently.
