Frequently Asked Questions
How long will therapy take?
The duration of therapy depends on the client’s presenting problems and goals. Tackling a specific problem using CBT may only take 10-20 sessions, though most clients come with more than one thing they’d like to work on, in which case it can take longer. Usually one session is scheduled per week. As a client, you have the right to stop therapy at any time.
Do you work with insurance?
At the moment, I do not work with insurance companies, which means that sessions must be paid by the client themselves. Please refer to the terms and conditions for more information.
Is info I share confidential?
Yes. All information that you share with me is strictly confidential. There are, however, certain specific exceptions, in which confidentiality may need to be broken. Please refer to my terms and conditions for more detailed info.
Where do sessions take place?
I offer both in person and online sessions. Online sessions take the form of video calls via Google Meet, which is privacy compliant according to the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Is online therapy right for me?
This is up to the individual. There are many benefits to online therapy such as being in the comfort of your home, saving time & money on commuting and attending sessions regardless of your, or your therapist’s location. Research evidence also shows the effectiveness of online therapy.
What if I miss my scheduled appointment?
If you do not show up for a scheduled session, you will still be charged the full fee. Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment.
